Privacy Policy

Yuefeng Bai ("we", "our", or "us") operates the CourierVerse mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App uses and where it goes. In short: there are no accounts, your progress stays on your phone, and the only thing that leaves it is map requests.
1. Information the App Uses
Location Data
- GPS coordinates while the App is open, to show orders near you
- During an active delivery, also while the App is in the background or your screen is locked, to track your route and detect arrivals
- Background location stops when you have no active delivery
Motion Data
- Step counts from your phone's motion sensor, only when you use Indoor Mode (treadmill)
Gameplay Data
- The nickname you choose
- Order history (routes, distances, duration, rewards)
- Collection progress, coins and settings
We do not ask for your name, email address or any login. The App does not use your microphone.
2. How We Use It
- Provide the game — map display, orders near you, route tracking, arrival detection and stats
- Nothing is used for advertising, analytics or tracking across apps
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
- All gameplay data is saved only on your device; we cannot see it
- It is included in your device backups (iCloud or computer) if you use them
- To draw the map, plan walking routes and show street addresses, the App sends map coordinates to Mapbox over HTTPS
4. Third-Party Services
Mapbox usage statistics (telemetry) are turned off in the App. We do not sell or share your personal information with any other third parties.
Carvii's voice lines are generated in advance with AI text-to-speech (OpenAI) and ship inside the App; nothing you say or do is sent to OpenAI.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Your data stays on your device until you delete the App
- Deleting the App permanently removes it; because we hold no copy, lost progress cannot be restored
6. Children's Privacy
Not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf. You control your data on your device. Questions are welcome at courierverse@gmail.com.
